Organic Process

Extending Our Care - Step by Step

Umalaxmi has a well-structured cultivation process and is working on an area of 14000 hectares of land for farming. By promoting Good Agricultural Practices (GACP) through MOUs with 3000 farmers, the company is not only supporting farmers to improve their yield and income but also ensuring sustainable growth. To further promote sustainable agriculture and protect the environment and human health, we promote pesticide-free cultivation methods.

Umalaxmi works closely and has established partnerships with various NGOs and farming cooperatives, collectors, and tribal folk for the cultivation collection, and sourcing of organic and conventional raw materials. Maintaining substantial buffer stocks of major raw materials is a smart strategy to ensure a stable supply chain and overcome any potential shortages due to crop failure. This approach can help to ensure that our company can continue to meet customer demand and avoid any negative impact on production or delivery schedules.

Some of the herbs used in our manufacturing are cultivated in our own plantations, while others are grown by cultivators on a contract basis. This approach not only ensures a consistent supply of high-quality raw materials but also helps to support local farmers and promote sustainable farming practices.

By working with cultivators on a contract basis, our company can help to ensure that they receive a fair price for their crops and provide support and training to improve their farming practices. This can help to ensure that the herbs meet the highest quality standards and are consistent in terms of flavor, aroma, and color. It’s also a great way to build strong relationships with local communities and promote social responsibility.
