Urtica dioica, known as stinging nettle, is a plant with pointed leaves and white to yellowish flowers. Diabetes has been treated using the root, stem, leaves and other components for years. It has components that might stimulate urination and reduce edema. The most typical uses for stinging nettle are for osteoarthritis and diabetes. Additionally, it is occasionally used for additional illnesses like hay fever, kidney stones, enlarged prostate, and urinary tract infections (UTIs).
