Description
The root of Hemidesmus indicus, often known as Indian Sarsaparilla, has traditionally been used to cure a number of diseases such as rheumatism, leprosy, impotence, urinary tract and skin infections. Several studies have been conducted to examine the anticancer, antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antipyretic, analgesic, antimicrobial, antidiabetic, hepatoprotective, cardioprotective, renoprotective, neuroprotective, and immunomodulatory characteristics of H. indicus.
