Description
Shankhpushpi is an herb found in India and Burma that is used in Ayurveda. C. pluricaulis was found to have antioxidant and antiapoptotic properties. It is widely used in Ayurvedic and Unani medicine and contains bioactive components such cinnamic acid, pentanoic acid, ascorbic acid, vitamin E, phthalic acid, squalene, silane, decanoic acid, linoleic acid, tropane alkaloids, kaempferol, and others. As C. pluricaulis is believed to possess both memory-improving and cognitive properties, it has been found to be used as a nerve tonic.
